Jim Beard writes adventure fiction in a classic pulp style.
A native Toledoan, he was introduced to comic books at an early age by his father, who passed on to him a love for the medium and the pulp characters who preceded it. After decades of reading, collecting and dissecting comics, Jim became a published writer when he sold a story to DC Comics in 2002. Since that time he's written official Spider-Man, X-Files, and Planet of the Apes prose fiction, Star Wars and Ghostbusters comic stories, and contributed articles and essays to several volumes of comic book history.
His prose work also includes GOTHAM CITY 14 MILES, a book of essays on the 1966 Batman TV series; SGT. JANUS, SPIRIT-BREAKER, a collection of pulp ghost stories featuring an Edwardian occult detective; MONSTER EARTH, a shared-world giant monster anthology; and CAPTAIN ACTION: RIDDLE OF THE GLOWING MEN, the first pulp prose novel based on the classic 1960s action figure.
Tom Lambert is a semi-retired cabinetmaker and father of three grown sons. From the time his seventh grade English teacher told him he had “potential” he has maintained a fascination with creative writing, most notably Mark Twain. Living with Earl is Lambert’s debut novel, in which he places himself side by side with Twain (or a dedicated impersonator) so they can play pool, laugh together, and occasionally grumble about the declining state of the world. He is in the process of writing a sequel. Lambert currently lives in Bowling Green, Ohio, with his wife, Beth, a lovable dog, three “rescue”cats, and a modest mortgage.
Michael was born in Sylvania, Ohio. A suburb of Toledo. He spent most of his adult life living in Northwest Ohio and began writing at an early age, but never thought to publish any of his works. He got a sense that his writing skill might be used to author a novel when writing campaigns for his D&D group. After several years of starting and stopping he finished his first work "The Awakening." Which is set to be the first of many novels in the Lycan War Saga.
